Green Card - 2010 Hits Record Numbers
New green card holders reached a record breaking 1,042,625, the Department of Homeland Security reports. In 2010, over a million people became permanent legal residents in the United States of America. Most of the people who had acquired a green card , were currently living in the States illegally. Now they have permanent resident status, meaning that they can live, work and study in the states on a permanent legal basis.
