Changes in Green Card policy

Lately, there is an effort by the US government to ease the process of getting a green card, especially for people who live in the US and are in the middle of the immigration and naturalization process; mainly people with American family:

"The government said on Friday it plans to reduce the time that U.S. citizens are separated from spouses and children who have been in the country illegally and who are forced to leave for as long as 10 years while their visa requests are processed." (source: Reuters)

The Green Card Features

Being one of the most desirable certificates in the world, the new Green Card is one of the most protected documents today and this protection is needed. Here are some of the features of the card. These features prevent forgery and identity theft:

• Optical Variable Ink – the color of the Green card changes when viewed from different angles.
• Micro image – there are a few micro images (a picture with a very high resolution for its small size).
• Embedded RFID – a unique serial number is embedded in the card and allows identification from a distance.
• Fingerprint engraves in laser.

The above are just a few of the features of the new Green Card. These and other features make the Green Card a much secured document.

The registration period for the DV 2013 Green Card Lottery is over now

All USAGC applications are now waiting for the Green Card lottery which will take place in May 2012. USAGC will post updates here and on our website.

Q: What should I do now if I want to apply to the Green Card lottery?
A: This is the best time to apply to the lottery with USAGC. With the next registering period opens a year from now (DV 2014), sending your details now to USAGC will assure you that you can leave the worries of the Green Card lottery to us. We will take care of your application and send it when the next registration period starts.

DV 2013 registration period

The Green Card lottery registration for this year (DV 2013) will end on November 5th 2011.

Here is the official message from dvlottery.state.gov:

"Entries for the DV-2013 DV program must be submitted electronically between… October 4, 2011, and… Saturday, November 5, 2011… Paper entries will not be accepted. We strongly encourage applicants not to wait until the last week of the registration period to enter…"

DV lottery 2013

This is our busiest time of the year; The registration for the 2013 Diversity visa program (DV 2013) is now open (October 4th 2011 to November 5th 2011) and we are working on registering our clients to the Green Card Lottery.

If you are thinking of immigrating to the USA, this is the time to get your name in the coming lottery and get a chance for a new life in the United States. Remember that the next Green Card Lottery (DV 2014) will be opened in October 2012.
